A Little About Me
My love for songwriting began when I was around 14, when I first started turning my thoughts, feelings and experiences into lyrics. I had always been drawn to the way my favourite artists could capture a feeling so perfectly, sometimes putting things into words that I hadn't even been able to explain to myself. I wanted to create that same feeling for someone else, to write something that might make a person feel understood, bring back a memory or simply remind them that they weren't alone in what they were feeling.
The Stories Behind The Songs
As I've grown up, songwriting has grown with me. What started as a way to express myself has become a way of processing change, holding onto memories and making sense of all the little things that come with figuring out who you are.
I find myself drawn to the moments that might seem ordinary at the time but somehow become the ones you remember most. A lot of my songs come from those feelings, the things you wish you could go back to, the people and places that shape you and the strange feeling of missing something while you're still learning to move forward.
Alongside writing music, I've had the opportunity to perform at local Brisbane venues, including Black Bear Lodge. There's something incredibly special about taking a song that began as a thought in your voice memos and sharing it with a room full of people. Performing has allowed me to experience music from a different perspective, and it's reminded me why I started writing in the first place. There's nothing quite like the possibility that something so personal to you might mean something entirely different, but just as important, to someone listening.
I think that's what I love most about music. A song can belong to the person who wrote it, but it can also become part of someone else's story. It can remind you of a certain time in your life, a person you once knew or a version of yourself you've since grown out of. I hope that somewhere in my music, people can find those little pieces of themselves, just as I've always found pieces of myself in the songs I love.
Bringing Music To Life
The Next Chapter
With my first single set to release late 2026, I'm excited to share more of the stories I've been holding on to and the experiences that have shaped me along the way. I'm still growing, still learning and still figuring things out, but I think that's part of what makes songwriting so special. There's always another story to tell, another feeling to explore and another version of yourself waiting to be discovered.
